Crash game
A game where a multiplier starts at 1× and grows until it "crashes" randomly. Cash out before the crash to win your bet × the multiplier.

A minimalist casino format that exploded in popularity via crypto casinos from 2020 onward. The game loop:
- You place a bet.
- A multiplier starts at 1.00× and grows in real time.
- A hidden random crash point (typically drawn from a distribution) ends the round.
- If you cashed out before the crash: you win
bet × multiplier at cashout. - If you didn’t: you lose the bet.
Signature game: Aviator (Spribe). Others: Bustabit, Space XY, JetX.
The math: house edge is set by the distribution the crash point is drawn from. Typical provably-fair crash games run at 1-3% house edge — very competitive with slots.
Strategy note: no strategy consistently beats house edge. Auto-cashout at low multiples (1.1×-2×) gives high hit-frequency + low variance. Aiming for high multiples (10×+) is high-variance thrill.
