RTP (Return-to-Player)
The long-run average amount a slot pays back to players, as a percentage of total wagered.
Also known as: Return-to-Playertheoretical return
The theoretical percentage of total wagered money a slot returns to players over an infinite number of spins. A 96% RTP slot pays back €0.96 for every €1 wagered, averaged over hundreds of millions of spins.
The complement of RTP is the house edge: a 96% RTP slot has a 4% house edge.
RTP is a limit, not a per-session outcome. Over 200 spins, results are dominated by variance, not by RTP. RTP begins to matter over 10,000+ spins.
