Wild symbol

A symbol that stands in for other paying symbols on a payline. If you have two matching symbols and a wild lands in the position that would complete a three-of-a-kind, the wild acts as that missing symbol.

Wilds do not usually substitute for scatters, bonus symbols, or jackpot symbols.

Variants to know:

• Stacked wild: a wild that fills an entire reel column.
• Expanding wild: a wild that expands to cover the whole reel on landing.
• Sticky wild: a wild that stays in place for a set number of spins (usually during a bonus round).
• Walking wild: moves one reel per spin during a bonus round.
• Wild multiplier: applies a multiplier to any win it participates in.
