Volatility is the standard deviation of the paytable’s outcome distribution — how far single-spin results scatter around the RTP mean. Studios classify their releases on a 1–5 scale (low → high) using their internal certification tests; we normalise those labels to the five bands you see here. Is med-low-volatility volatility good or bad for bonus wagering?

No. Base-game hit rate is the frequency of any paying combination on a normal spin — 25–35% base-game hit rate at med-low-volatility volatility. Where does the volatility label come from — studio or operator?
