Bitcoin Casino
An online casino that accepts Bitcoin (and usually other cryptocurrencies) as the primary or exclusive payment method.
Also known as: BTC casinoCrypto casinoBitcoin gambling
A Bitcoin casino is any online casino that accepts BTC as a deposit and withdrawal method. Most also accept ETH, USDT (Tether), and other major cryptocurrencies. “Crypto casino” is the more general term.
Two flavours
Crypto-first casinos — designed around crypto from day one. Deposits and withdrawals happen in crypto; balances usually shown in USD equivalent for practicality. Examples: BC.Game, Stake, Roobet, Bitcasino.io.
Crypto-added fiat casinos — traditional casinos that added crypto as one payment method alongside card, e-wallet, and bank. Examples: most MGA-licensed operators now support at least BTC as a deposit method.
The two behave differently — the crypto-first casinos usually have provably-fair games (where outcomes can be verified cryptographically), more crypto-native bonuses, and fewer KYC checks. The crypto-added fiat casinos are traditional operations with a crypto payment rail added.
Advantages
- Fast deposits + withdrawals — 10-30 minutes typical when it works.
- No bank intermediary — no card decline, no bank statement to hide.
- Lower fees than card or bank wire.
- Privacy layer — no direct connection to your bank account.
Disadvantages
- Zero chargeback protection — blockchain transactions are irreversible.
- Weaker regulatory oversight — many crypto casinos are Curaçao or Anjouan licensed, or unlicensed entirely.
- Price volatility — BTC deposited at €50k can be worth €40k tomorrow. Use stablecoins (USDT) to eliminate this.
- KYC still applies at withdrawal, at any regulated operator.
Common misconception: “no KYC”
Many crypto casinos advertise “instant, anonymous crypto play.” Some accept small deposits without KYC. But if you win big and want to withdraw, KYC is often required to prevent AML violations. Read the operator’s KYC policy before depositing large sums.
Provably fair games
Crypto-first casinos often offer “provably fair” games — outcomes are generated using cryptographic proofs that the player can verify. See our provably-fair glossary entry.
Not all crypto casino games are provably fair — slots from Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, etc. run on the standard provider RNG audited by eCOGRA / GLI. Only the crypto-native games (Aviator, Crash, Dice, Plinko, some proprietary titles) offer provably fair.
The CasiMath crypto casino take
If you want speed and don’t care about dispute protection: crypto casinos deliver on the promise. Choose an operator with strong AskGamblers reputation, understand you have zero regulatory recourse if things go wrong, and never deposit more than you can afford to lose to an operator refusing to pay out.
